so i was going to keep my name off of my website, but when something this awesome comes along, I will reveal that my real name is Darren.  And Mattel is making dolls for me!

Move over Ken! There's a new guy in town and his name is Darren.

Mattel has come out with a new doll created by Barbie designer Stacey McBride-Irby. The African-American mother says she was inspired by the original iconic doll and wanted her dolls to "inspire girls to play, create and live out their dreams!"

Darren brings his swagger to the Barbie world thanks to his personal stylist Jay-Z who dressed him in Rocawear. And it looks like he's sporting a nice watch too!

In addition to dressing well, D also does well in geography and sports.

Brains, good fashion sense and a jock? Ken's got some steep competition!

No word if he costs less than the other male dolls.
